Maui is about 48 miles long and 26 miles wide, and is easy to explore in its entirety during your vacation. The two major resort areas are in the South and West of Maui, and this is where you will find the majority of the larger resorts and chain hotels. West Maui is the most developed area for tourists, with extensive shopping and restaurants. South Maui is best if you are looking for quieter beaches, and contains more apartment rentals if you are looking for more space. Today I’m going to share with you some of the best places to stay on Maui, to help you get prepared and excited for your next adventure!
Perfect for couples, this beachfront property is one of the most luxurious options on Maui. Located in the luxury South Maui area of Wailea, this resort offers a choice of three swimming pools and three restaurants within the resort itself. Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck opened Spago onsite, which combines Californian and Hawaiian cuisine. The rooms and suites are a highlight of this resort, with tasteful and authentic décor, and are perfect for relaxing in following a day of adventures. The stunning swimming pools back straight onto the beach, so you can spend your time alternating between the two. As well as exploring the hotel’s beautiful grounds, enjoy the onsite tennis courts and spa and wellness center. Conveniently located in the town of Wailea, you are just a one-mile drive to The Shops at Wailea, and for keen golfers, the Wailea Golf Club is only two minutes away from the resort.
